About Cue & Cut

Free tools for the boring, fiddly parts of making YouTube videos. A side project that started while I was writing scripts for a channel I want to start.

Cue & Cut started with one annoying question while I was writing scripts for a YouTube channel: how long is this going to run? Word-count calculators got it wrong as soon as a script had numbers, acronyms or notes to myself in it. So I built Script Clock, and then kept going.

I'm not a developer. I build these tools with a lot of help from AI, and I test them on the scripts I'm writing. Each one tackles a problem that comes up when scripting, recording or editing, and if a free tool already solved it well, I didn't build another one.

How the tools work

Everything runs in your browser. Your scripts, audio and files are processed on your own device and never uploaded. There are no accounts to make. Scripts you save are kept in your browser on that device.

Is it really free?

Yes. The tools are free, and the features available today will stay free. If a paid plan appears later, it will add new extras on top, like syncing scripts across devices. It won't take away anything you already use.
